Exmoor is one of the smallest national parks but possibly the most
beautiful, with its amazing variety of landscapes, steep wooded coombes, picturesque river valleys, rolling moorland and dramatic coastlines.
Our guided sightseeing tour will take in the spectacular Exmoor views, allowing you to stroll through quaint local villages and market towns, enjoying gentle countryside walks and exploring the fabulous historical buildings of Dunster Castle and Arlington Court.
Monday – Early Evening stroll to Flex Barrow along the banks of the River Barle including talk on the History of Simonsbath & the oldest House within the Royal Forest
Tuesday – Minibus tour to the farmers market at Barnstaple Pannier Market and Butchers Row then onto Broomhill Sculpture Garden for lunch before spending the afternoon at Arlington Court with its magnificent house and gardens.
Wednesday – A journey across the moor with a stop (hopefully to see the Exmoor Red Deer) then onto Porlock and Horner Water before crossing Dunkery Beacon the highest point on the moor – before stopping in Dunster on our journey home for an afternoon cream tea.
Thursday – Minibus tour to Watersmeet, Lynmouth, a ride up the famous
Funicular Railway and stroll out to the Valley of the Rocks and then on by minibus to Porlock Weir.
